Handlung
Wir befinden uns im Hollywood der 1950er: Die große Filmproduktion „Hail, Caesar!“ soll den bestehenden Erfolg der Capitol Pictures sichern. Doch auf einmal wird der Hauptdarsteller des Films, Baird Whitlock, entführt. Es ist nicht nur die gesamte Produktion in Gefahr, auch darf die Klatschpresse, allen voran Hedda Hopper, nichts von dem Vorfall erfahren.
