Handlung
Als ihre Nichte Katie überraschend ums Leben kommt, stellt die Reporterin Rachel Keller Ermittlungen an und kommt einem mysteriösen Videoband auf die Spur, nach dessen Ansicht jeder Zuschauer binnen sieben Tage Frist sterben muß, wie eine mysteriöse Stimme den Opfern per Telefon mitteilt. Wie sich herausstellt, haben Katie und ihre Freunde das Video in einer Berghütte begutachtet und niemand hat das überlebt. Rachel bringt das Video in ihren Besitz und sieht es sich mißtrauisch selbst an, eine Collage von unzusammenhängenden Szenen, mysteriös und verstörend. Dann kommt der Anruf.
